Sev1Tech is seeking a System Engineer III (RAM&T) who will support the development, modeling, and validation of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Testability (RAM&T) parameters for a complex missile defense system. This role demands hands-on experience in Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) development, reliability modeling, failure mode analysis, and system-level availability assessments. The engineer will closely collaborate with design, specialty engineering, and test teams to ensure that RAM&T requirements are properly allocated, verified, and integrated within the system architecture.
Develop and maintain Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) for system and subsystem architectures.
Perform reliability modeling and analysis using tools such as Reliasoft BlockSim, Windchill Quality Solutions, or equivalent.
Conduct Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), fault tree analyses, and support Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) reviews.
Assist in deriving, allocating, and tracking RAM&T requirements while coordinating with system design and specialty engineering teams.
Evaluate maintainability and testability aspects during design reviews; recommend design or process improvements to enhance system uptime and reduce maintenance burden.
Support availability modeling, spares provisioning analyses, and operational mission reliability predictions.
Create and present RAM&T reports, reliability predictions, and summary data in alignment with program requirements and applicable CDRLs.
Participate in technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and present RAM&T findings to Boeing, Government, and internal stakeholders.
Interface with test and data analysis teams to correlate test data to model predictions and update reliability metrics accordingly.
Support integration of RAM&T artifacts into the Digital Engineering environment or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) framework.
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
Proficiency in reliability modeling tools (Reliasoft BlockSim, Weibull++, Isograph, or equivalent).
Working knowledge of reliability standards and methods (MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-785, MIL-HDBK-338, or equivalent).
Experience developing RBDs for complex, hierarchical systems.
Familiarity with failure rate data sources, field data collection, and statistical analysis techniques.
Understanding of maintainability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, availability, operational readiness).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Ability to interface with cross-disciplinary teams (design, test, logistics, specialty engineering).
Master’s degree in Systems or Reliability Engineering.
Experience with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar).
Experience with large aerospace or defense system-of-systems programs.
Certification: ASQ CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer) preferred.
