Overview/ Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Government in defining integration requirements by collecting, identifying, and organizing detailed information from the users. Assist the Government functional area Manager in defining scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects;
  • Confirm and prioritize project integration plans and deliverables with the Government;
  • Assist Infrastructure Engineers in the inspection and review of various IT infrastructure for various MILCON projects;
  • Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified IT Infrastructure meets MILCON project requirements;
  • Assist with QA & Quality Control (QC) support during and after project completion;
  • Assist IT Systems Engineers to include site preparation, post installation equipment integration, dressing cables (e.g., labeling & testing), and redlining design plan;
  • Coordinate with organizations responsible for MILCON inspection surveillance;
  • Create supporting documentation to include inspection reports using diagrams, checklists, Key Supporting Documents (KSD), and photographs using government provided format (CDRL A003);
  • Provide on-site support for the receipt, warehousing and delivery of equipment/materials in support of the installation of systems at project sites. Tasking include, but is not limited to, (a) uncrating incoming project equipment, (b) conducting visual material condition inspections, (c) documenting any damages to equipment, (d) maintaining a log of received and issued material; (e) notifying the sender and/or recipient of shipment; and (d) storing incoming project integration shipments in appropriate locations in NIWC Buildings 1657F Guam;
  • Maintain an active project material inventory and update as equipment is received, shipped, or moved. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, requisition and invoice/shipping documents, DD-1149, DD-1348, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Provide pre-installation and test checkout (PITCO) reports, as required, for IT Systems of specified MILCON projects;
  • Deliver or route material(s) to project locations. Tasking includes, but is not limited to, the use of Government-provided work devices (e.g., vehicles, hand trucks, moving carts, dollies, and forklifts). Operators of forklifts must possess a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) license, and documentation stating (a) specific type of MHE training completed and (b) that the operator is medically qualified. The operator’s license and letter must be provided to the COR for approval prior to operating MHE.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Secret Clearance;
  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Relevent work
    experience and training may be considered in lieu of degree;
  • Two (2) years of related experience;
  • Prior experience with telecommunications standards, including ANSI/TIA=569, 569 and 607, as well as the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organization and time management skills; and
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and independently.
