Overview/ Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Enterprise Tools Engineer with hands-on experience in Forward Networks, ThousandEyes, and network monitoring tools to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining network and application monitoring, enhancing visibility across complex architectures, and supporting proactive issue detection. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless functioning and effective utilization of enterprise tools, including Infoblox, ScienceLogic, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, LiveAction, and ServiceNow. Your expertise in enterprise tools integration will contribute to the overall efficiency, visibility, and decision-making capabilities of our federal customer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise tools and systems, ensuring seamless integration and interoperability between different monitoring, management, and reporting solutions.
  • Integrate and operate various monitoring tools for real-time network visibility and alerting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical integration solutions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing enterprise tools and identify opportunities for automation, consolidation, and optimization.
  • Develop and execute integration strategies to connect disparate enterprise tools, enabling data flow, sharing, and synchronization between systems.
  • Design and implement data workflows, APIs, and connectors to facilitate smooth integration between enterprise tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and deploy automated scripts, workflows, and procedures to streamline tool integration and enable efficient data transfer and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with technical teams and vendors to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and reliability of integrated enterprise tools, conducting regular maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including configuration guides, standard operating procedures, and integration diagrams for reference and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in enterprise tools integration, recommending improvements and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as system administrators, network engineers, and security analysts, to integrate and align enterprise tools with organizational policies and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines in the integration and management of enterprise tools.
  • Provide training and support to users on the effective utilization of integrated enterprise tools, promoting self-service capabilities to enhance productivity and resource utilization.
  • Maintain documentation for monitoring systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Solid experience in integrating and managing enterprise tools and systems, with proficiency in tools such as Infoblox, ScienceLogic, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, LiveAction, and ServiceNow.
  • Strong expertise in building data workflows, APIs, and connectors to enable seamless integration between enterprise tools.
  • Familiarity with network, system, and application monitoring and management concepts, including SNMP, WMI, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash, for automation and customization of enterprise tool integration workflows.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, such as incident management, problem management, and change management, and how they relate to enterprise tools integration.
  • Familiarity with security principles and best practices in enterprise tools integration, including access controls, data privacy, and vulnerability management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve integration issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment, meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Relevant certifications in enterprise tools and systems integration (e.g., ITIL, Infoblox, ServiceNow) are a plus.
  • Eligibility/Clearance Requirements: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Desired Qualifications

Clearance Preference:

  • Active DHS/CISA suitability - 1st priority
  • Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret - 2nd choice
  • DoD Top Secret + willingness to obtain DHS/CISA suitability - 3rd choice (it can take 10-60 days to obtain suitability – work can only begin once suitability is fully adjudicated).
