Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Supporting a federal civilian client out of the Washington D.C./Northern VA area, the Business Systems Analyst (Cloud) will be a key part of the growing IT infrastructure team supporting Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), responsible for Project Management tasks associated with Cloud initiatives for moving towards a cloud smart and cloud-native strategic vision and work with senior leadership as a central coordination point. This resource provides thought leadership and problem solving for client’s stakeholders pertaining to business process to best utilize cloud technology.  Uses knowledge of Process Change Management principles to reengineer processes, reduce redundancy, and increase efficiency.  Assisting the client in planning, evaluation, and overseeing solution implementations of new cloud technologies; assessing the alignment of services and technology with business/mission goals or objectives.

 

This role must have the ability to accomplish the following:

  • Gather and refine requirements
  • Manage the Release Calendar
  • Assist in the development of Technical Roadmaps
  • Work with the team to identify and recommend solutions for requirements as identified by the Cloud Program team
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate meetings and meeting notes
  • Leverage Agile project management tools such as Jira, Advanced Roadmaps
  • Create operational status dashboards using PowerBI 
  • Participate in project Resourcing and Tailoring meetings for assigned projects

  • Provide support for the coordination, preparation, and reporting of project statuses on a routine basis. Develop and implement summary project report structures and project

    success metrics.

  • Facilitating the planning, organizing, scheduling, and coordination of work to be accomplished by the project team, including breaking work down (WBS) into discrete tasks, estimating task resource requirements, working with task owners to determine task schedule and dependencies, and incorporating this information into a project schedule.

Position is mostly remote (90%) but will require occasional on-site presence at the client's office in Washington, DC. Budgeted at $95K max.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of experience with:

  • Performing technical analysis in support of the Cloud Product Manager’s backlog development
  • Development of benefit analysis for potential tech stack inclusions
  • Analysis of potential common functional requirements between Applications and other tenants of the cloud environment
  • Application Lifecycle in a cloud environment
  • Ability to analyze business and technical questions and identify paths to resolution
  • Strong oral communication skills, facilitation, and problem solving
  • Efficient task management
  • Experience in Agile practices such as DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD
  • Proven ability in communicating directly with clients and providing program activities
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience preferred

CLEARANCE LEVEL: Must be a U.S. Citizen able to get a government clearance in the future; able to pass drug screening; Position requires a Public Trust clearance

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • PMP cert a plus
  • Familiarity with Government security requirements is a plus
  • Public Trust clearance
