Cloud Project Manager

We are seeking a talented, experienced, and motivated Cloud Project Manager to lead multi-cloud projects using an agile methodology. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing agile projects in a multi-cloud environment, ensuring successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. The Cloud Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, developers, network engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of projects across multiple cloud platforms. The successful candidate will possess expertise in cloud technologies and multi-cloud environments, strong project management skills, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working with cross-functional teams from different business units. A passion for cloud technologies and a customer-centric mindset are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead agile projects in a multi-cloud environment using Jira as the project management and reporting tool.
• Plan, design, and coordinate multi-cloud technology solutions, ensuring that they align with business objectives.
• Establish project scopes and translate business requirements into technical specifications and project plans.
• Develop project timelines and work plans, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure effective stakeholder communications and timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Manage project risks, including identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
• Track project progress by managing and reporting on project status to relevant stakeholders.
• Foster an environment of collaboration and communication between stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for secure, effective, and efficient project delivery.
• Lead project post-mortem activities to evaluate project success and identify potential areas of improvement.
• Prepare and provide weekly and monthly project status updates to management and other stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and presentation of change requests to the Change Control Board.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud project management, specifically with a multi-cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, services, and solution architectures from leading vendors such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Experience managing agile projects and leading scrum teams in delivering complex solutions in a multi-cloud environment.
• Experience with multi-cloud platform management, including integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects and driving project delivery.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize work, and manage time effectively.
• PMP, ITIL, CSM or other project management certifications are desirable.
• Technical knowledge of IT operations and infrastructure components such as networks, servers, storage, and cloud technologies.
• Experience working in an ITIL environment and understanding of ITIL framework best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in business analysis methodologies and tools such as Use Case Modeling, UML, Data Flow Diagrams, and ERDs.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile.
• U.S. Citizenship.

This is a full-time position that requires 1 day per week on-site in Arlington, VA

Clearance Preference:

• DHS EOD - 1st priority
• Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret or Secret - 2nd choice
• DoD Secret or Top Secret + willingness to get EOD clearance - 3rd choice (it can take 45 days to obtain EOD clearance – work can only begin once the clearance is fully adjudicated)
