Overview/ Job Responsibilities

The Systems Integration Supervisor will work at the customer site in Alexandria, Va and support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Network Operations Center (NOC)

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Speaks to and collaborates with a variety of people, such as clients, vendors, management, and information technology (IT) staff during the creation and maintenance of a system.
  • Installs, configures, and tests servers, blade chassis, blade servers, networking appliances, and all associated cabling.
  • Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for adherence to company guidelines or SOPs.
  • Provides requested information, feedback, and evaluation for development design and implementation within the Enterprise Data Center environment.
  • Understand, monitor, report on, and gather data from Enterprise Data Center critical support infrastructure.
  • Performs quality control procedures to ensure systems are efficient and operational.
  • Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Deals with work process optimization and physical connectivity for project success.
  • On call duties required for onsite support of the Alexandria, VA Enterprise Data Center.

Position is on-site in Alexandria VA. Salary max is $73K.

Minimum Qualifications

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Experience creating, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting networking cabling.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization basics (e.g., basic understanding of VMware or VirtualBox).
  • Experience with monitoring systems.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts or command line).
  • Basic networking knowledge (OSI layers, TCP/IP).
  • Capable of lifting up to 70lbs.

Eligibility/Clearance Requirements: Must have an active DoD Secret clearance

  • Understanding and responding to feedback.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Patience and attention to detail.
