DevSecOps Engineer

Join Sev1Tech and support Navy NAVAIR in to provide DEVSECOPS CI/CD Software Factory and Model Based Systems Engineering tools.

The DevSecOps Engineer must be experienced in providing DevSecOps implementations using Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar tools as well as experienced in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications. In this role, the engineer would use working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines and working knowledge of Software Build process. They will have a strong "security first" mindset.

Mostly remote out of the Washington DC area with the exception of installations at Dahlgren VA and Pax River MD for periods of time.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working closely with our Agile development team to create automated tooling to support the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Design, Develop and maintain the continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) solution using Jenkins Shared Libraries in Groovy
• Support Cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to build and configure a high performing, scalable, cloud-based infrastructure
• Provide automation of operations to include monitoring, resiliency, and self-healing
• Support the deployment of microservices to cloud or on-prem hosted Kubernetes or OpenShift environments

• B.S. in Computer Science, Math, or similar degree
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and managing the CI/CD pipelines of a wide variety of applications
• Five (5) years of experience as a major contributor in a DevOps environment utilizing AWS and VMWare
• Heavy containerization experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Gitlab, or similar tools
• Ability to obtain a US Secret level clearance

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise that could consist of hundreds of applications.
