Logistician, Journeyman

Sev1Tech is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Logistician to join our dynamic logistics team. As a Journeyman Logistician, you will play a critical role in coordinating and executing logistical operations to ensure the smooth flow of materials, supplies, and services within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Supply Chain Coordination: Manage and coordinate activities throughout the supply chain, including procurement, transportation, and distribution. Ensure the efficient movement of goods and materials to meet organizational needs.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including stock tracking, cycle counting, and replenishment strategies. Implement best practices to optimize inventory levels while minimizing holding costs.
• Vendor Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. Collaborate on procurement strategies, monitor contracts, and address any issues to enhance the reliability of the supply chain.
• Logistical Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of logistical plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics with project timelines, budget constraints, and organizational objectives.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain. Implement mitigation strategies to address challenges related to transportation, procurement, and distribution, ensuring operational continuity.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of logistical activities. Generate reports on key performance indicators, logistics costs, and inventory turnover. Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry and DoD regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. Stay informed about changes in logistics regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

• Must have a SECRET level clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 6 years of proven experience as a Logistician or in a similar journeyman-level role.
• Solid understanding of logistics principles, supply chain processes, and inventory management.
• Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Familiarity with industry-standard logistics tools and technologies.
• Experience in a logistics role within a relevant industry.
