Field Service Technician, Journeyman

Sev1Tech is seeking a skilled and experienced Tactical Network Field Service Technician at the Journeyman level to join our dynamic team. As a Journeyman Technician, you will provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for tactical communication networks.

Responsibilities:

• Field Support: Provide on-site technical support for tactical communication networks, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software components.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance activities and perform necessary repairs to ensure the optimal functioning of tactical network systems. Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Deployment: Assist in the deployment and setup of tactical communication equipment in various operational environments. Ensure that systems are operational and meet specified performance standards.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and equipment inventory lists.
• Training: Provide training to end-users and military personnel on the operation and maintenance of tactical communication systems. Ensure that users have the knowledge and skills to operate equipment effectively.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, project managers, and military personnel, to support the seamless integration of tactical network solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and quality assurance activities to verify the functionality and reliability of tactical network systems. Implement corrective actions as needed.

• Must have a SECRET level clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• 6 years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician in a tactical or military environment.
• Strong knowledge of tactical communication systems, including radio networks and satellite communication.
• Familiarity with military standards and protocols related to communication systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Military experience in a related field.
• Certification in network technologies or related areas.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in tactical network environments.
