NOSC Tier 2 Infrastructure Administrator

Sev1Tech is looking for the right candidate to play a role on a very large program involving network, cybersecurity, and cloud operations and engineering support services to a government customer with a significant mission for security and public safety.  The program will encompass a wide range of tasks including but not limited to: Program Management; Monitoring, Analysis and Incident Response; Tier 3 Engineering and O&M; Field Engineering technical support; and Cloud operations.

We’re seeking an experienced Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) Tier II Infrastructure Administrator to support a 24x7x365 enterprise operations center.  The Tier II NOSC Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for monitoring network dashboards, analyzing problems, troubleshooting escalated incidents, coordinating and reporting all operational information concerning the enterprise infrastructure.  

The Tier II NOSC Infrastructure Administrator will serve as an on-duty and on-call technical resource to resolve complex issues and to support staff.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide expertise for LAN, WAN, security, systems, and other technologies
• Train junior NOSC analysts via knowledge transfer and creation of knowledge articles
• Investigate and diagnose network and security incidents to restore failed services as quickly as possible
• Lead root cause analyses and suggest resolutions for security and infrastructure problems
• Support remote access platforms such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
• Assess and implement Change Requests as needed in accordance with the Change Management process
• Escalate unresolved incidents to Tier III or vendor support to coordinate restoration of service and obtain the necessary information for recording/tracking the outage or degradation of service
• Keep component NOC and SOC informed about their incident's status at agreed intervals and continuously update incidents as needed.
• Notify Government Leads and other stakeholders of high impact/priority failures using the appropriate escalation procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree

• At least 8 (eight) years of relevant experience including routing/switching experience

• Previous experience configuring, troubleshooting, and problem management of network, security, system, and cloud resources
• Possess one or more vendor certifications (network, security, system, or cloud)
• Previous experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
• Certification Requirement: Any one of more of the following vendor certifications from Juniper, Azure, AWS, CCNA, CCNP, Zscaler, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, F5, GCP, CISM, CISP, CEH  

• Clearance Requirement: Public Trust clearance or higher; Public Trust clearance with Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) or Customs & Border Protection preferred
