Senior DevOps Engineer III

Reporting to the Program Manager, the primary function of this role will be supporting one of our clients in the Maritime Division DevOps team will act as an extension of our client and will be dedicated exclusively to the buildout, maintenance, and support of infrastructure for a high-visibility program:

• Develops infrastructure-as-code artifacts to deploy, configure, and manage a variety of technologies.
• Document processes and services for use by cloud application development teams.
• Participates in Agile process to develop tasking, describe technical solutions, and test deployed systems.
• Research problems discovered by quality reviews and develops solutions.
• Leverages scripting and other automation tasks to manage infrastructure.
• Researches, designs, and develops system infrastructure, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Provides inputs to technical assessments related to the cost, efficiency, and security posture of a system.
• Develops system infrastructure testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Identifies creative solutions to improve system and product offerings.
• Collaborates with technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation.
• Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones.

• Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience
• Experience creating and working with CI/CD pipelines and the associated teams – to include script development for automation.
• Experience developing and successfully delivering cloud-based solutions (especially AWS).
• Applications/Frameworks/ Tools: SonarQube, Twistlock, Jira, Confluence, Corestack.
• Experience with software packing tools.
• Experience with version control tools.
• Familiarity with security/vulnerability tools.
• Familiarity with code coverage analytical tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools.
• Ability to analyze and decompose complex processes into modules.
• Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes.
• Competent in team building and team communication strategies.
• Self-starter, able to work independently.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Clearance: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and CAC to access Navy systems
