Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking detail-oriented and collaborative Software Services Delivery Manager to join our mission in providing best-in-class technology, infrastructure and security support services to businesses in Colorado.

 

Supporting multiple programs in Colorado, the Software Services Delivery Manager must have software application development and support experience and will be part of a Software Delivery Teams responsible for the following managed services:

  • Custom developed applications support
  • Development automation tools and environments support
  • DevOps and DevSecOps 
  • Delivery of functional requests for enhancement
  • Request and Incident management
  • Problem management
  • Configuration management
  • Information Security management
  • Operations management

Job Functions

  • Lead and manage a team of high-performing individual contributors and contribute to their ongoing talent development
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multiple clients to ensure the successful delivery of service levels
  • Analyze production operations and initiate corrective actions to ensure operational stability
  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of managed services delivery
  • Initiate and establish quality standards for the software development teams
  • Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success
  • Supervise request fulfilment, incident management, change management and problem management in line with ITIL 4.0 concepts
  • Ensure on-call support and weekend maintenance duties as required
  • Work with other client cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery
  • Escalate to internal Sev1Tech technical experts when assistance is needed
  • Participate in operations and service delivery continuous improvement activities
  • Supervise knowledge management and document management activities
  • 150k DOE 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship and be willing and able to obtain U.S Government Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a software development or delivery organization
  • Proficient with operations in the following cloud environments: AWS and Microsoft Azure and relevant underlying operational technologies/instrumentation, including cost and usage reporting
  • Proficient with the following technologies: Github, JIRA Agile, Test automation tools (such as Test Café, Cucumber, …), Jenkins, QuickSight
  • Experience with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code technologies
  • Proficient with CI/CD pipeline type approaches
  • Proficient working with Linux environments
  • Strong background with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Operational support experience as part of a large team
  • Experience with a recent ITSM tool (ticketing system, CMDB) such as JIRA Service Management, Remedy or Cherwell
  • Must be security conscious
  • Proficient ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and effectively handle complex assignments
  • Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little direction
  • Proficient ability in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong cross-functional team collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiar with common development languages front-end and back-end
  • Familiar with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience with micro-services architectures
  • Familiar with application integration platforms (such as Webmethods or APIs) and cloud federation services platforms
  • Experience with consumer-facing eCommerce applications and environments
  • Familiar with requirements management and documentation/knowledge management
  • Familiar with change management discipline
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to translate complex information into ideas and effectively communicate
  • Must be a problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • U.S Government Secret security clearance
