Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Software Factory Implementation & Sustainment CG-6 Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I), this is a key funded position as part of a strong Agile/DevSecOps team supporting requirements remotely out of the Washington D.C. area.


SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The DevSecOps Engineer, Senior Team Lead (CI/CD) will accomplish the following action items on an Agile/DevSecOps team:


  • Develop, maintain, and train team on CI/CD principles – with the goal of maximizing the automation of processes.
  • Develop and maintain pipeline configurations.
  • Maintain CI/CD tools/platforms.
  • Create and work with CI/CD pipelines and the associated teams – to include script development for automation
  • Develop and successfully delivering cloud-based solutions (especially AWS).
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience in Software Development.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated federal or commercial federal or commercial DevSecOps experience.
  • Experience creating and working with CI/CD pipelines and the associated teams – to include script development for automation.
  • Experience developing and successfully delivering cloud-based solutions (especially AWS).
  • Applications/Frameworks/ Tools: SonarQube, Twistlock, Jira, Confluence, Corestack
  • Experience with software packing tools.
  • Experience with version control tools.
  • Familiarity with security/vulnerability tools.
  • Familiarity with code coverage analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools.
  • Ability to analyze and decompose complex processes into modules.
  • Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes.
  • Competent in team building and team communication strategies.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Clearance: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Coast Guard PIV and CAC to access sites

Desired Qualifications

  • SAFe certification or equivalent
