Modeling & Simulation Engineer

Sev1Tech is searching for a Junior Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of the prototype meshONE-T network, a scalable, resilient, cyber‐secure data transport network to support the portfolio of United States Space Force missions and Air Force ground systems.  This position is based out of the Denver, CO area.

Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, the Modeling & Simulation Engineering will participate in the following action items:

• Collaborates with the meshONE-T engineering team in the research, creation, modeling, and analysis of meshONE-T prototype designs to quantify the performance and impact of operational concepts, and tactics.
• Utilizes knowledge of model-based system engineering (MBSE) to perform analysis to support requirements definition, mission effectiveness, system evaluation, and military utility assessment for a meshONE-T.
• Provides and supports analysis of early digital product prototypes, working with analysis tool developers, integrators, test team members, and other engineers.
• Analyzes and advises as to the best method of implementing a course of action based on the simulation strengths and weaknesses.
• Participates in structured simulation training events and exercises and simulated rehearsals of operational plans and orders.
• Develops analytical methods and simulations to facilitate analyses; executes trade studies; performs data analytics and statistical analysis; provides input and recommendations on analysis performed; and develops effective presentations that communicate results and findings.
• Supports architecture development and integration activities for meshONE-T which may include items such as requirement creation and breakdown, analysis and traceability of requirements to key performance parameters, and support for requirement analysis.
• Establishes requirements for evaluation tools and processes, provides analytical support to the test planning process, and coordinates analytical results.
• Understands the system-level verification processes, and has the ability to develop a system-level test and verification plan and the ability to identify and develop integration objectives.
• Generates and presents test analysis planning documentation, test readiness briefs, quick-look reports and briefs, and detailed analysis reports and briefs.
• Performs other duties as required.
