Overview/ Job Responsibilities

The Network Analyst II will work in a Customs & Border Protection’s (CBP) Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract, which provides mission-critical communications, internet connectivity, and network services that support the law enforcement agency’s systems and facilities across the United States and overseas. Resources will be required to travel both CONUS and OCONUS deploying to CBP Field Sites for onsite support as needed.

 

Location/Travel: Remote support but requires travelling both CONUS and OCONUS deploying to CBP Field Sites for onsite support as needed.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Working on a team consisting of Network Architects & Engineers supporting the CBP network, the Network Analyst must have the ability to:

 

  • Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot issues related to routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot routing and switching issues at the CCNA level
  • Handle network performance and security issues as reactive and proactive work
  • Daily administration of the network environment
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoots issues and deploys solutions
  • Implement upgrades and installs new equipment
  • Inform management in a clear, concise, and timely manner of any customer or technical issues
  • Be responsible for creating reports for measuring network utilization, performing traffic analysis, monitoring response times, and performing capacity and trend analysis.
  • Take initiative and maintain confidentiality
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree; Without a degree a H.S. Diploma required and 5 additional years of relevant work experience.
  • 1-3 yrs of LAN and WAN experience
  • Experience supporting computer network installation, maintenance, and support
  • Flexible - The environment is highly dynamic and mission critical
  • Attention to detail
  • Good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

Eligibility/Clearance Requirements: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship

  • Clearance Preference:
  • CBP Full BI - 1st preference
  • Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret - 2nd preference
  • DoD Top Secret + willingness to get CBP clearance - 3rd preference (it can take 45 days to 6 months to obtain a CBP clearance – work can only begin once the clearance is fully adjudicated)
